Does the Teams sharing toolbar get in your way when presenting in Teams?
Sure, you can drag the toolbar around, but wouldn’t it be nice if it could just disappear sometimes?
The Microsoft Teams meeting toolbar is helpful when you need it, but distracting when you don’t. If the floating bar keeps blocking your applications top navigation bar or covering shared content, hiding it can make your presentation experience feel cleaner and less distracting.
Teams includes a simple setting that lets you get the toolbar out of the way, which is especially useful when hosting a presentation or long training session.
To hide the Teams meeting toolbar while screen sharing:
- click anywhere on the toolbar itself
- press Ctrl+W
- Mac users can also do this with CMD + W

Note that this will make the toolbar disappear for the duration of that screen sharing session. To get the sharing toolbar back, you will need to stop and restart screen sharing.
Hope you enjoyed this post on how to hide the toolbar, bring it back, and how this small change can make your Teams meeting presentations more focused and less cluttered.
